A Chilly Garage and a Witty Grandma

Picture this: a freezing Wisconsin day, a garage transformed into a makeshift studio, and the creation of wedding invitations that would set the stage for Igloo Letterpress. John and Allison, the heart and soul behind the studio, exchanged vows in the icy embrace of a Minnesota December. When they bought their first house, John's California relatives added a touch of humor—his grandma asked, "What is it - an igloo?!"

And so, the name stuck. What began as a hobby printshop in their new Minnesota home became Igloo Letterpress, a nod to Grandma Betty's playful comment and a celebration of the warmth found in the art of letterpress.
